Congratulations Coyote Grey!

Over MLK weekend, the Coyote 2 team played in their first overnight tournament of the season in the Wisconsin Dells. The Coyote Grey team is comprised of 6-8 year old players most with this being their first travel team experience. After winning their first game in a shutout (the team's 6th this season), their next two games were against teams in a division higher than ours and they were a little hesitant. Coach Jeff Muffitt and Coach Mike Evensen instilled in their minds that the Coyotes can beat anyone they put their minds to. They ended up tying the first game and winning the second game for a chance to play in the championship. The players were ready for that game and came out with great attitude and a passion to gain their first championship. I'm extremely proud to say they won and each player was rewarded with their own individual trophy and a team trophy that is almost as tall as our shortest player. Congratulations to the players for their hard work all weekend and to the coaches, Jeff and Mike, for making sure the players never stopped believing that the championship was theirs for the taking.
